This has taken the form of concrete approaches leading to tangible results in :
- Building close and fruitful international relations and setting up cultural exchanges with avenues equally as famous as the Champs-Elysées. A number of twinning arrangements are now in place with avenues in other major cities, the latest of these being with Nanjing Lu, the main shopping street in Shanghai.
- Ensuring compliance with the legislative and regulatory environment, assisting members in their dealings with city and government departments. Each member receives priority information on what is happening on and around the avenue.
- Maintaining a balance between the different types of activities represented on the avenue, ensuring that leisure, culture and popular entertainment in its broadest sense, with particular emphasis on cinema, continue to play their full part on the avenue, for the greater benefit of all the commercial brands.
- Day after day, the Comité builds and burnishes the reputation of the Champs-Elysées around the world.
