Presentation

The Comité Champs-Elysées, a non-profit organization, was set up in 1916. For nigh on a century, it has worked to promote, develop and raise the international profile of the Avenue des Champs-Elysées itself and its environs, in the heart of Paris.

In 1980, the Comité Champs-Elysées made headlines when it inaugurated the first Christmas lights on the avenue. Ever since, the Comité has set itself the task of organizing or sponsoring a multitude of events on the avenue, designed to enhance the image of the Champs-Elysées and increase footfall.
